The annual Monaro District Cricket Association six a side competition was held over the weekend, with only nine teams contesting for the title, down from last year’s 15 teams.
Waller’s Warriors (Jindabyne) defeated the Variety Boys (Royal) and Wolfie’s Daydreamers proved too good for the star studded Berridale Ball tamperers in their semi final for the A grade final to be contested between the Warriors and the Daydreamers. Aussie three defeated Jindabyne in the previous week in the season proper, and it was up to Jindabyne to extract their revenge with a last over victory.
The B Grade grand final was played out by the two Colts teams with the Peakview-Jerangle team edging out the Colts team. The Colts were too good for the Aussie M.D’s in the semi final while the PV-J’s out did the Golden Girls (Rugby Union) in their semi final.
A good day was had by all, however the club would like to see more teams participate next year.
