The Lady Tigers travelled to Canberra on Sunday to take on lowly placed Tuggeranong.

Cooma at full strength and with four reserves were expecting an easy time. The girls started the game confidently controlling most of the possession with great team passing. Tuggeranong’s defence was holding strong making it a challenge for Cooma to score, but a goal was definitely on the horizon, it was only a matter of time.

During a goal mouth scramble, Kym Simpson finally put one away to give the Lady tigers their first of three goals. Sadly this goal was attributed as an own goal on the match card.

Kym always makes the most of her opportunities scoring goals in almost every game, so it was only just that she scored our second goal with a strong hit into the right side of the net. Hard work and a keenness to attack once again paid off for her.

In the second half Tuggeranong fought out several goal attacks but eventually the ever persistent Tara Pateman converted from a good corner to give Cooma a 3-0 lead at full time.
