Cooma Public School celebrates students

As we reach the end of another incredible school year, it’s the perfect time to pause and acknowledge the true heart of our school: our students. This year has been shaped by their curiosity, their resilience, their kindness, and their determination to grow - each day, step by step. From the very first day back, our classrooms buzzed with questions, big ideas, mistakes that turned into breakthroughs, and proud ‘I can do it’ moments. Students set goals, challenged themselves with new learning, and celebrated growth - whether mastering tricky concepts, deepening their reading fluency, solving complex problems, or sharing their thinking with confidence. Every lesson was another chance to discover strengths, try again, and build the habits that make great learners: focus, persistence, collaboration and curiosity. This year was also about belonging. Students built friendships and supported each other. Through group projects, playground play, buddy reading, leadership opportunities and whole-school events, students showed what it means to be respectful, responsible members of our school community. They learned the power of kindness, teamwork, and being a champion for others. Whether it was sporting carnivals, excursions, camps, performances, STEM challenges, Book Week magic, cultural celebrations, or those everyday moments of joy in the playground - students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm. We saw acts of courage as students tried something new. We saw creativity shine through art, writing, problem-solving and performance. We saw leadership flourish in ways big and small. Every experience has become part of their story, part of who they are becoming. As we look forward to a new year, we celebrate every student who has contributed to our vibrant, caring and hardworking school. Their voice, their effort, and their spirit have made this year special. We are proud of every achievement, every improvement, every challenge overcome and every moment of kindness shown. Most of all, we are proud of who our students are becoming, creative thinkers, kind friends, courageous learners and leaders of tomorrow.
