Snowy Monaro residents are being encouraged to have their say on the future health needs of the community, with Southern NSW Local Health District inviting input on an updated clinical services plan for the local government area.

The Snowy Monaro Clinical Services Plan will set the priorities for service development and reform over the next five to 10 years. The plan will include Cooma District Hospital, Bombala Multi Purpose Service, Delegate Multi Purpose Service, and Jindabyne HealthOne, as well as a range of community, mental health and allied health services.

Development of the plan takes into account population growth and demographics, health risk factors, service activity trends, patient flows, benchmarking with other services, and collaboration with staff, community and other stakeholders.

Southern NSW Local Health District will hold community consultation sessions in Cooma and Bombala.

Sessions will be held on:

25 November, 11am – 1pm at the Bombala Community Centre; 25 November, 5pm – 6.30pm at the Cooma Library; and 26 November, 10am – 12pm at the Cooma Library.

All members of the community are encouraged to come along and share what they know and have experienced.

A community survey is also available online by visiting the Southern NSW Local Health District website, or by sending submissions to SNSWLHD YourFeedback@health.nsw.gov.au or to Southern NSW Local Health District, PO Box 1845, Queanbeyan NSW 2620.
