Snow Australia has announced the Australian Cross Country Ski team for the 2025/26 international season, featuring a mix of world-class performers and emerging talent across four tiers of representation.

Following a historic 2024/25 campaign headlined by Rosie Fordham’s silver medal at the U23 World Championships, Australia’s first ever World Championship podium, the new season brings fresh energy and focus as the team builds toward the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

Eight athletes headline the World Cup Team, including returning Olympians and World Championship competitors Fordham, Ellen Sohoel Lie, Phoebe Cridland, Tuva Bygrave, Seve de Campo, Hugo Hinckfuss, Lars Young Vik and Phillip Bellingham.

For Tuva Bygrave, who was part of Australia’s record-setting women’s relay team at the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim, this season marks another step toward Olympic contention.

“Being part of this team means a lot to me. Representing Australia is an honour, and I’m grateful to do it alongside such talented and inspiring teammates,” Bygrave said.

“I think everything will feel a bit more intense this year. With the Olympics approaching, everyone’s pushing hard and looking to reach new heights. I’m really excited to see how far we can go as a team this season.

“There’s something special about traveling, training, and competing alongside teammates who share the same goals.

“I’m looking forward to pushing myself, testing my limits, and hopefully enjoying some really good skiing in beautiful conditions along the way.”

The Continental Cup team welcomes Hannah Price, Bentley Walker-Broose and Fedele de Campo, each will be racing alongside World Cup team athletes in Scandinavia in November and aspiring to gain World Cup starts.

Earlier in 2025, Cooma’s Bentley Walker-Broose made his senior World Championship debut in Trondheim, Norway.

The 24-year-old is excited about being back on the international circuit again.

“Seeing the passion and intensity of the crowd in Trondheim really showed how much people truly care for cross country skiing,” Walker-Broose said.

“I’m really looking to ride that high again this coming winter.”

“My training this year has been really consistent. I’m starting to feel pretty good and am pumped for some high level racing coming up in the next few weeks and throughout the season.”

Walker-Broose said he is happy to be able to keep pushing to higher levels with his team-mates and giving his all for his country.

“Being able to qualify for the Olympics and compete for Australia at the highest level would be a huge honour, and a lifelong dream,” he said.

“Regardless of what happens, I will be happy with all the hard work I’ve put in and will always keep driving forward to be the best skier I can.”

The U23 Team features a talented group of six: Isabella Moon, Maddie Hooker, Hinckfuss, Noah Bradford, Vincent de Souza and Jayden Spring. The junior team includes returning athletes Satara Moon, Rosie Franzke, Ava McCann, Samuel Johnson and Clancy Harvey, with also Harri Silvester making his national team debut.

For Samuel Johnson from Canberra, his second year on the Junior Team represents another exciting step in his racing journey.

“It means a lot to be part of the national junior team again and I’m proud to keep building on the work I’ve put in and grateful for the support from the team,” Johnson said.

“The Olympics have definitely added more energy within the team, and it will be great to see my teammates chasing their Olympic goals.

“I’m really looking forward to Junior Worlds in Lillehammer. It seems like a great place to race, and I’m keen to see how my training pays off.”

With a busy northern hemisphere calendar ahead, including the FIS World Cup, Continental Cup, and World Junior/U23 Championships, the 2025/26 season will play a key role in Olympic qualification and team development.
