Schools, in addition to various community services held in towns and villages throughout the Snowy Monaro region, paused at 11am on 11 November to reflect and pay tribute for the courage and sacrifice of all those who have died or suffered on the battle grounds across the world in service of our nation.

Snowy Mountains Christian School held a whole school assembly on 11 November to remember those who served, and currently serve in the Australian Defence Forces.

Following the assembly, students and staff made their way outside to the school flagpoles to pray, listen to the Last Post and Reveille and observe a minute’s silence in memory of those who lost their lives serving our country.

Bombala High School representatives travelled to Delegate to pay their respects at a service in Delegate, while the remainder of Bombala High School students and staff walked to the Bombala cenotaph to attend the town's Remembrance Day service.

Other schools in the region came together in whole-school assemblies or attended community services on what was a very blustery, cold day.
