The Bombala Golf Club held its presentation night recently, recognising outstanding efforts throughout a busy year on the course.

The afternoon commenced with a two-man ambrose.

There was a large field, a few teams were already on the course when a storm hit. The heavy rain didn’t last long.

The winning team was Korie Elton and Tony Baldwin, ahead of Neil Thompson and Merv Douch.

A very large crowd attended the presentation night to celebrate the golfing year. A lovely meal was had, prepared by the male golfers, allowing the club’s ladies to enjoy a night off. Their efforts were much appreciated by all in attendance.

Once the meals had finished, the presentations commenced with club president, Neil Thompson, welcoming all to the night and thanking those for their hard work during the year.

Neil thanked the ladies for all their work in the kitchen and for the many functions held at the club across a very busy year.

Cherry continued to present the donated trophies played for during the year. To complete the presentation, the meat tray raffle was drawn with Daniel Douch. The lucky winner.

On Saturday, following the big night, the event was a stroke for the monthly medal. The winner was Darren Forrester with the good score of 67 nett.

Balls went to Darren, Oscar Gough 72 nett and Shannon Gulliford 73 nett. Golden Shot went to Merv Douch. Nearest the pin was not won.

Sunday was closing day. Playing a chapmans for the C and W Elton Trophies. A great day was had with Brendan Weston and Wayne Elton coming in the winners on 72 nett. The pair had a terrific first nine but slipped. a little on the back nine. They chipped and putted extremely well.

Balls were won by Merv Douch and Oscar Gough. Golden shot went to Neil Thompson. Nearest the pin was again not won.
