The Cooma Pastoral and Agricultural Association has announced its 2026 Cooma Show Young Woman and Rural Achiever.

Miranda McGufficke of Greendale is the young woman of the year and Alycia Marks is the rural achiever.

Miranda recently won the prestigious 2025 Agricultural Shows Australia (ASA) Meat Breed Sheep Young Judges competition final.

Miranda, 24, not only represented NSW in the ASA Meat Breed Sheep Young Judges final, she was also a finalist and runner-up in the Merino Fleece Young Judges category.

The rural achiever accolade for Alycia follows her work with Hamilton Equine Services where she provides safe and effective riding lessons, as well as training and rehabilitating horses that have experienced trauma.

Cooma Pastoral and Agricultural Association president, Rob Hain, congratulated the duo on their honours.

“We are very excited to have two outstanding women as representatives for Cooma Show and Cooma. We wish Miranda and Alycia all the best for the next 12 months,” Mr Hain said.
